Manheim Township Alumni Association will begin solicitation for 2015 Distinguished Alumni nominees on January 1, 2015. Since 1997, MTAA has bestowed the Distinguished Alumni Award on graduates who have achieved noteworthy and outstanding accomplishments in their chosen fields, have served their communities, and will serve as role-models for students district-wide.
Award winners address each year’s graduating class at commencement and are honored with a reception following the event.

MTHS Students Strive for Fundraising Success
Submitted by the 2013-14 Mini-THON committee
Manheim Township High School proudly became a Four Diamonds school in 2010. With the help of alumni students, Mini-THON was introduced to MTHS to join in the fight against pediatric cancer. Currently, the MTHS Mini-THON Committee is working on fundraising for the upcoming fourth annual Mini-THON event. In the past 3 years combined, the MTHS Mini-THON has raised over $100,000.00 for the Four Diamonds Fund. Currently, our committee has 150+ student volunteers helping in the fight against pediatric cancer. The club is divided into seven committees that help to cover all areas of event organizing, such as food, public relations, morale and several others.
This year, students have been fundraising through bake sales, canning at football games, car washes, support letters, Powder Puff games and various other activities. Presently, there are multiple fundraisers being planned for the upcoming school year. These Mini-THON fundraisers will continue up until the 2014 Mini-THON event, which will take place on February 28th, 2014 from 6PM-6AM. All funds raised by the club will benefit the Four Diamonds Fund. The Four Diamonds Fund partners with any family who has a child diagnosed with pediatric cancer at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital. This philanthropy helps to cover financial and extraneous expenses that can be a burden to families suffering from pediatric cancer. Additionally, funds will help provide research support and medical team support to continue searching for the cure.
To keep up with the progress of the 2014 MTHS Mini-THON Committee, visit our website. Come out and support the fight during upcoming fundraising events! Together we can continue to support the families affected and find the cure for pediatric cancer.
