The Manheim Township Educational Foundation was established in 1993 to strengthen, enhance and enrich the educational experiences of the students and faculty in the Manheim Township School District. Over the past 26 years, MTEF has given out more than $1,000,000 to fund nearly 500 grant programs in all of Township’s schools.
We hope you consider supporting the Manheim Township Educational Foundation on November 22, 2019 during the #ExtraGive. Any donation made online at extragive.org will be partially matched by the Lancaster County Community Foundation.
We try to fund grants in all academic, artistic, and athletic areas. An arts opportunity we recently supported was the Anagama, Raku & Reduction Firings grant which brought Artist in Residence Kevin Lehman and high school art students together to collaborate on a variety of projects, while learning about three historically significant ceramic firing methods used around the world.
One of our focuses as an organization is to support initiatives that best prepare students for the future workplace. The 7th Grade Workplace Tours grant provides 7th grade students the opportunity explore college and career readiness and gain an understanding of job requirements and responsibilities, as well as workplace etiquette.
MTEF also like to support innovation like the Google Expedition grant. This grant provided the Middle School librarians with Google Expedition kits, which enhance STEM curricular areas through the use of Virtual and Augmented Reality. These tools allow students to experience over 200 separate expeditions from hiking Mount Everest to going inside the human body.
Help us reach even more students through incredible grant opportunities by making a donation today at ExtraGive.org.
